Heart is working to build Regeneration Centres in Africa with our first centre plan in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The regeneration centre is a structure or complex which creates an exemplary environment for its surrounding community. However, aside from being a model for future projects, the centre itself is fully functional, demonstrating by action and serving the local communities with healthcare, education and general welfare. In rural areas, such a regeneration centre would become a beacon and information service to the surrounding communities giving guidance, providing training and support to encourage the community to help themselves and reach their full potential. The centre will also act as a central point to co-ordinate delivery of humanitarian services in the area through collaborations with other NGOs.
